      <description><![CDATA[<p><b>Title: </b>Cashier</p><p><b>Department: </b>Tsi’pun Supermarket</p><p><b>Status: </b>Casual - On Call</p><p> </p><p><span>Wage:&nbsp;</span>$17.85 to $20.00 per hour</p><p><b>Reporting to: </b>Store Manager </p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Summary of Duties:</b></p><p>The Cashier will work closely with the Store Manager while maintaining a positive, supportive, and professional relationship with the Tsi'pun Supermarket customers and staff. The Cashier is responsible for conducting transactions and returns at the Tsi'pun Supermarket.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Deliverables and Expectations: </b></p><p>• Greeting customers, ensuring customers have what they need </p><p>• Processing cash, credit, and debit card transaction </p><p>• Ensuring tills have enough change for each shift </p><p>• Checking that the till is balanced before and after each shift </p><p>• Keeping checkout area tidy </p><p>• Working together with other cashiers, assisting them as needed </p><p>• Anticipating busy times and being ready for them </p><p>• Tallying up sales totals at the end of the day </p><p>• Assisting customers with questions and complaints </p><p>• Working with Head Cashier to ensure operations run smoothly </p><p>• Make recommendations to Head Cashier for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the store, its equipment, and other areas as appropriate </p><p>• Conduct regular safety checks of the till area </p><p>• Participating in weekly staff meetings </p><p>• Perform other related duties as requested.</p><p><br></p><p> </p><p><b>Experience and Attributes: </b></p><p>• Basic knowledge of mathematics to calculate change, handle cash </p><p>• Experience processing transactions, familiar with cash handling procedures </p><p>• Can accommodate flexible work schedule (days, nights, and weekends) </p><p>• Able to spend several hours at a till – either standing or sitting </p><p>• Strong people and customer service skills</p>]]></description>
