Summary of Duties:

The Nursery Supervisor supports the design, establishment, and operation of a native plant and tree nursery. During the early stages, the role focuses on assisting with nursery planning and build-out, and completing any required training to be ready for operations. As the nursery becomes operational, the Nursery Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day nursery activities, successful propagation of native shrubs and trees, supervision of seasonal nursery staff, and seed collection and processing. This role will continue to be defined as the work progresses and the nursery develops.

Key Deliverables and Expectations:

• Assists in planning, designing, and setting up the nursery, including practical support during construction and implementation.

• Works closely with forestry staff during the initial stages to support nursery start-up activities and operational readiness.

• Completes training and education required to address skill gaps prior to the nursery becoming operational (as identified by the Manager).

• Oversees germination and propagation activities to support consistent, healthy plant production.

• Manages day-to-day nursery operations, including irrigation, fertilization, monitoring plant health, and general nursery upkeep.

• Supervises seasonal nursery staff, including work planning, task assignment, and day-to-day oversight to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.

• Supports seed collection, processing, and storage activities to ensure reliable inputs for propagation.

• Maintains nursery equipment, tools, and facilities, including routine checks and basic upkeep, and identifies repair or replacement needs.

• Establishes practical processes for organizing nursery work and making effective use of available labour and time.

• Coordinates, as required, with external suppliers, training providers, and (as the nursery matures) shipping and buyer contacts related to native plant distribution.

Summary of Duties:

The Class 1 Driver (Lowbed / Dump Truck) is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials and heavy equipment at Lil’wat Construction Enterprises job sites, including hauling excavators and other equipment using trailers.

Key Deliverables and Expectations:

• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of safety requirements on job sites including personal protective equipment, safe vehicle operation, and hazard awareness
• Demonstrates functional knowledge of Class 1 truck and trailer operation including dump truck hauling, lowbed transport, load securement, and weight distribution
• Demonstrates basic operating techniques including pre-trip inspections of truck and trailer systems (brakes, tires, hydraulics, lights, air systems, tie-downs, and safety equipment)
• Displays understanding of how to safely start, operate, maneuver, back up, couple/uncouple trailers, load/unload equipment, and shut down truck

Under the direction of the Community Relations and Forestry Manager, the Intermediate Forestry Technician is responsible for developing, executing and monitoring Forestry projects.

Key Deliverables and Expectations:

Lead and support forestry crews to complete project assignments provided in forestry and silviculture.

Ensure crews are working efficiently, effectively, and safely, and monitor project performance.

Efficiently navigate offroad/bush terrain on foot and using off-road vehicles.

Oversee the operation and maintenance of crew vehicles and equipment by ensuring compliance with safety standards, training procedures and local laws.

Review and submit timesheets, and other safety reports.

Ensures Forestry Crews maintain and comply with the BC Forest Safety Council “SAFE Certification” program by completing and filing all required documents.

Assist with truck inspection, refueling trucks and maintaining other LFV equipment including ETVs, UTVs and chippers.

Post harvest assessment to ensure project meets LFV standards

Develop silviculture planning for upcoming season:

Primary Focus:
Construction, installation, and removal of formwork to support concrete structures.

• Construct, install, align, brace, and dismantle formwork for foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and related structures
• Measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials (wood, plywood, or engineered systems)
• Ensure formwork is plumb, level, secure, and capable of supporting concrete loads

Under the direction of the Motel Manager, the Front Desk Lead is responsible for offering friendly and efficient service at the front desk, managing reservations, and processing guest check-ins and check-outs. In addition, this role provides housekeeping support as needed to ensure guest rooms and common areas are maintained to cleanliness standards.

The Type 3 Fire Fighter is a member of Líwat Forestry Venture Forestry Fire Fighter crew, contracted to perform Wildfire Response Services and Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery Services. 

Key Deliverables and Expectations:

• Works in teams of up to 5 to complete project assignments provided by the Crew Lead/Supervisor/Manager

• Actively participates in daily crew briefings on all daily tasks and project objectives

• Efficiently navigate offroad/bush terrain on foot and using off-road vehicles

• Participates in maintaining Health and Safety standards by monitoring work practices in the field and by providing for emergency health and safety measures.

• Services may include but are not limited to:

• Mitigation: prescribed fire support, fuel modification projects, hazard reduction, etc.

• Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, appliances, and food preparation workstations

• Assist in the food preparation process by cutting, chopping, slicing, and washing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients

• Weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients per recipe instructions

• Prepare meals

• Coordinate deliveries; including preparation of orders, loading of vehicles, driving of delivery vehicles, timely arrival of deliveries, and unloading of deliveries

• Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards, and storage areas and bring supplies from storage areas to work areas

• Follow all food health and safety requirements

• Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors

• High-quality customer service

• Perform other related duties as requested

Experience and Attributes:

• Current Food Safe Certification preferred

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous experience in a restaurant preferred

• Physical ability to stand for an entire shift and lift 50+ pounds

• A valid Class 5 BC driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract preferred

• Willingness to work weekends and nights

• Existing knowledge of food safety procedures preferred

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Department: Tsi’pun Supermarket

Status: Casual - On Call

Wage: $18.25 to $20.50 per hour

Reporting to: Store Manager

Summary of Duties:

The Cashier will work closely with the Store Manager while maintaining a positive, supportive, and professional relationship with the Tsi'pun Supermarket customers and staff. The Cashier is responsible for conducting transactions and returns at the Tsi'pun Supermarket.

Key Deliverables and Expectations:

• Greeting customers, ensuring customers have what they need

• Processing cash, credit, and debit card transaction

• Ensuring tills have enough change for each shift

• Checking that the till is balanced before and after each shift

• Keeping checkout area tidy

• Working together with other cashiers, assisting them as needed

• Anticipating busy times and being ready for them

• Tallying up sales totals at the end of the day

• Assisting customers with questions and complaints

• Working with Head Cashier to ensure operations run smoothly

• Make recommendations to Head Cashier for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the store, its equipment, and other areas as appropriate

• Conduct regular safety checks of the till area

• Participating in weekly staff meetings

• Perform other related duties as requested.

Experience and Attributes:

• Basic knowledge of mathematics to calculate change, handle cash

• Experience processing transactions, familiar with cash handling procedures

• Can accommodate flexible work schedule (days, nights, and weekends)

• Able to spend several hours at a till – either standing or sitting

• Strong people and customer service skills
